Our events are always inspirational and capture memories that are cherished.
On the Adur at Shoreham - Making our way under Shoreham Road Bridge on the River Adur in July 2017. This trip took us near to Bramber Castle where a few of us then walked to, buying ice creams, before returning to Shoreham on the outgoing tide.
A tricky entry on the R Arun near the Black Rabbit - Using an open canoe to re-enter a kayak on the R Arun after a quick stop, near the Black Rabbit pub. We were paddling from Littlehampton to Houghton on day 1 of our weekend paddle. Aug 2015
Jurassic Coast Paddle - Rounding the headland close to Old Harry. This particular paddle was organised by Norman H in May 2016 but the group has also done this trip on our Poole Harbour and Jurassic Coast weekends.
On the Rother in Kent - Paddling on the River Rother from Bodiam Castle to Rye, Sept 2019. We had a very late start due to a prolonged car shuttle at the start of the day, resulting in some paddlers turning back to retrieve their cars from the start carpark in case it was closed by the time we got back.
Crossing the Solent (Twice) - In May 2016 John K organised a Solent weekend when we crossed from the mainland to the Isle of Wight twice (there and back on each day). Steep waves and strong currents in places mixed with fast yachts! Large ships meant keeping out of the shipping channel.
Thames Trusses Island to Ham Island Paddle - Our group shortly after starting back from Ham Island towards our start point at Trusses Island on the non-tidal Thames. Aug 2020.
Tidal Thames - A View of the Houses of Parliament and the Millennium Wheel - A view of the Houses of Parliament and the Millennium Wheel on a out and back trip from Barnes Bridge to the London Festival Hall. The front of Bob and Jo's Kiwi 2 is on the left.. I remember being worried that the Kiwi would be swamped due to standing waves under Westminster Bridge, which we negotiated whilst large tourist boats held off in front and behind us waiting to dock on Westminster Pier. Jul 2016.
